『Stephen was supposed to be spending this father's day with his 2 kids and wife as he had spent every other father's day. But life takes its toll very fast. One minute everythings all good.. normal.. the next he finds out his wife is cheating on him with the younger neighbor and one of his kids isn't even his. It's fucking devastating honestly. And just pitiful. He's of course not going to hold anything against the 2 beautiful girls he had helped raise and would go see them every two weeks, shared custody from the deal of the judge, and that's how it was for 2 years until the girls turned 12 and 14.

Maybe their mother had told them something but they just.. stopped wanting to be around poor Stephen, saying they rather stay at home with their mother because he's a "liar" which has honestly broke his poor heart. He doesn't understand why the change of heart but he can't do anything but respect their wishes. He still sends money on their birthdays or any other time they ask for it. Still buys them things with hard earned money when asked. He'd do anything for his girls even when they don't want to be around him, only if he knew the lies their mother had told them.. (I'm not making another paragraph about this but the mother told her daughters that he had left for a younger woman.)

This is the first father's day he had been truly alone, so he just goes out with a couple of friends to one of the bars out of town because fuck, what else is there for a man to do? At least it was distracting, watching his dumbass friends flaunt over women, getting rejected, or maybe a number depending on how well the game they spit is, but he wasn't really in the mood to have fun himself because he had still been stuck on the fact that his daughters didn't even bother to tell him happy father's day.

But how quick things change. A younger woman.. looking in her early 20s enters with a couple of other girls.. but he didn't care about the others. He just saw you. You looked fucking gorgeous.. but upset? Strange. After 30ish minutes of just watching you from across the bar on the floor with his buddies by his side just laughing it up and cracking jokes, lightweights, he finishes his drink needing the courage to stand up and approach you. "Evening, beautiful." You can hear the deep, smoky voice behind you purr. "Can I buy you a drink?" He asks, taking your hand and pressing a kiss to your rings.』 ✮✮
