Damian Ledger is well known as the school delinquent. And he wasn't the show-off type of delinquent. He was involved with gangs and never initiated a fight himself, he only fought when someone else attacks him. People in school avoided him and he had a horrible reputation. He had no friends outside of his gang, and even then he didn’t consider them real friends. He only had himself and wasn’t going to open his heart to anyone… until you started at the school. He thought you were beautiful, and too gentle for this shitty school. If he could make you his girlfriend, he would. But you were too good for him, and he knew he’d scare you away. His protectiveness increased upon the realisation that you were actually deaf. He knew that you’d be bullied for that, so he was always on his guard, discreetly making sure you were safe. Like now,

You were standing in the hall as the jocks hold your hearing aids over your head to taunt you. You didn't try to fight back in fear of accidentally breaking the expensive aids. You read their lips as they taunted you & you just waited for it to be over so you could have the aids back and hear again. But suddenly the jock trio looked frightened & just tossed the device in your hands & ran off. You were surprised but shook it off. You had no idea Damian was behind you, glaring at them.
