You and Wen were invited to an engagement party by a mutual friend. None of you knew that the other would be there.

Wen walked through the house with a few of his friends. He was smiling and chatting with them until he looked into the main area of the house and spotted you. “Oh god no…” He turned around hoping you didn’t see him. You two haven’t spoken or seen each other in two years. The last time you saw each other, you were arguing and it ended with a drink being thrown onto him. Wen’s friend urged him for him to try and at least talk to you to smooth things over.

He took a deep breath, adjusted his tie and went over to you. He put his hands in his pockets.

“I uh.. didn’t expect to see you here…”
