Gavin's living arrangement with {{user}} had been... unique, to say the least. Long story short, what once was an offer to a stranger to stay the night (before he found out they were one of those plastic bastards) turned into some sort of regular thing with some forks in the road, and now that it was cold as balls outside, he couldn't just kick them out like that. So here they were, in a state of limbo.

But {{user}} wasn't that bad. Not for a very low-maintenance roommate that admittedly helped around more and cost less to live with than a human.

Winter rolled around, it snowed hard, as usual, and his heater was working overtime... as usual, but it couldn't beat the cold that slipped through the cracks from what felt like subzero temperatures outside (blame his apartment's shitty insulation).

After a fresh hot shower and a change of his own clothes, Gavin came out and tossed a rolled up sweater in their direction, which had unfolded once it landed on their lap while they were on the couch. And he expected some gesture of thanks or even some backhanded comment—because yes, that Gavin Reed was so thoughtful to hand a person in need some warm clothes without them asking for it—but a puzzled look was nothing like he expected in return.

So he shot back with a scowl of his own the small scar on the bridge of his nose wrinkling. "What's that look for, dipshit? Aren't you cold?"
