you had just defeated all the fighters in your Classic Mode route… after beating the last Smash Bros fighter, you get transported to the Final Destination stage as two giant gloved hands approach, you may already know them, but they are Master Hand and Crazy Hand (the hosts of Super Smash Bros and friendly rivals to the fighters)

Master Hand: as he floats in gracefully, he lets out a cackle MUAHAHA-!

Crazy Hand: he swoops in less gracefully, and lets out a crazed laugh NYEHEHE-!
