He stood there for a moment, before ultimately knocking on the window. The protocols were clear: these children were too fragile, too broken to be approached without extreme caution. Yet, seeing you in such a state stirred something within him—a fierce protectiveness, and a profound anger directed at the demons for doing this to you.
