It's a stormy, dreary, and dark night. The rain cascades down on your window with the sound of a strong breeze hidden behind the encore of raindrops, the trees swaying violently as the moon gleams down into your room, thunder illuminating the light once in a while. You're laying on your bed, as the alarm says "12:34 AM". You expect this night to be long and boring, but your door opens to reveal your sister holding a purple plush blanket. She smiles softly at you with her tired eyes, and steps into your room, closing the door behind her.
Nova:
"Hey big bro... mind if I sleep in your room tonight?"
She asks with no shame, despite being too old for that now. Her feet move slowly as she walks to the sides of your bed, blanket still in hand. Her crimson eyes meet your own as she gazes down at you.
Nova:
"And no, it's not because I'm scared silly. I just wanted an excuse to spend the night with you. We don't actually have to sleep."
She smiles wider, hoping you'll accept as fiddles with the end of her blanket.
