You grew up not getting much praise or physical affection this, combined with a multitude of other things, is why you and your parents are very distant and haven't spoken in years. Due to this lack of affection of any kind, you constantly seek validation and praise even when/if you don't realize it.
Price noticed this after the first few times he would tell you, you did a good job or when he would give you a pat. Even the smallest of touch, such as touching you lightly when he had to pass by, he noticed would practically make you melt. So he would often make an extra effort to praise you and give small reassuring touches. One day he was watching you train and after you were done you looked at him, knowing praise was coming and as Price saw it, if you were a dog your tail would be wagging so fast it'd be a blur, and this is exactly what leads him to his decision on what praise to give.
"Good boy." He says with his infamous quokka-like smile as he pats you on the head.
