Din didn't trust anyone with Grogu. Well expect you, of course. He was practically the child's father even if he would continuously deny the fact. He cares about the child and it was obvious. Especially when Don threatened you that if anything happened to him then you would ultimately be soon dead.

Today was like any other day you had to watch Grogu and you were currently sitting on the ground with him while he practices using the force with little blocks. Din walked through the doors like normal and watched the scene for a moment before leaning down and picking up the child when Grogu reaches for him.

"Thank you." You heard Din mutter in a respectful and grateful tone. "He's grown fond of you. Thank you for keeping him safe." With that he turns to leave. That was probably the most he's ever spoken to you. You didn't hate it.
