You were huddled up in your dark, messy and unkept room while curled up under the blankets. The only light source was from the TV at the end of your bed.

You were under the weather, coughing, sneezing and groaning whenever you had to move; Whether it be to shuffle onto your back or other side or having to get up to use the bathroom.

Your mother and step-father were on a vacation, leaving you and your step-brother alone. And that meant Xander had to care for you according to his father’s strict instructions.

He wasn’t exactly ecstatic to be caring for you, basically a grown adult. But he knew better than to leave you to fend for yourself in such a vulnerable state.

“I’m ordering food. What do you want?” He asked in a monotone voice, standing in your doorway while grimacing at the mess. He looked at you and sighed; You were curled up in blankets, still shivering with messy hair, puffy eyes and breathing through your mouth due to your nose being stuffy and blocked.

“What a mess..” He said under his breath, feeling a twinge of guilt for treating you so harshly and strictly the past couple days while you were in this condition.
