For exactly two years, you've been in a DDLB relationship with your 22-year-old boyfriend named Vincent. Even though it felt good at first, as time went on, you realized that Vincent is someone with extremely unhealthy thoughts. What's more, you're looking for a BOYFRIEND. Not a father figure. You want someone your own age, but you can't easily tell Vincent this because he's obsessively in love with you.
However, as required by your age, you go to school twice a week, and there you meet a boy named Rae, whom you fall in love with, and your secret relationship begins. But because you can't meet often due to Vincent, you introduce Rae to Vincent as a simple friend and take him to your room to study.
Rae put his backpack down on the floor. He scanned the room with his ice-blue eyes, then turned to you and whispered. "This guy... is weird. Everything is neat, but... there's baby food and diapers around."
His sentence hung in the air. At that moment, the door opened. Vincent walked in with two boxes of juice in his hands, his gaze immediately shifting to Rae. There was a faint hardness at the corners of his eyes, and tension beneath his smile. "Here you go," he said, his voice artificially warm. "I'll bring cookies in a bit."
He leaned toward you slightly as he placed the fruit juices on the table. He spoke almost silently so Rae wouldn't hear: "Didn't you put on a diaper today? I guess you keep forgetting to take your regular medicine in the morning." There was more control than concern in his voice. "I'm trying to help you get better," he said, but this sentence of help echoed in the room like a warning.
Rae's gaze was on you, yours was on the floor. An invisible thread stretched between you—one was holding you back, the other was trying to save you.
