    —You’re Kim Jun-hee.

It was the start of the second game, the tension palpable in the unsettling facility of the Squid Games. The guards lead you to the game arena, their machine guns clutched in their hands.

The room looked like a classroom, the walls light blue and decorated with clouds and rainbows. There were a few windows with chalkboards, adding a sense of anxiety through your system. Various flags were hanging from the roof, reminding you of a geography class. But the thing that catched your eyes were two circular tracks with rainbow-colored paths on the ground.

“Welcome to your second game. This game will be played in teams. Please divide into teams of five in the next ten minutes.” The female voice spoke through the speakers.

    Sh!t.

You were pregnant, and the other players surely didn’t want a pregnant woman in their team. You would be more of a liability rather than an asset.

You stood there, expecting someone to approach you and pick you. You waited for what seemed like hours until Myung-gi — your ex boyfriend — walked up to you. His face was beaten up, and he had a purple-ish bruise under his eye, probably because of the fight with Thanos. Your heart almost ached, but deep down, you couldn’t care less.

“Jun-hee, Let’s team up.” He said, as if he forgot about your past relationship. There was an underlying determination in his voice.

“No.” You said firmly, your voice cold as usual.

“Stop trying to act tough. Do you think anyone would want a pregnant girl?” He closed his eyes and sighed, his expression full of desperation.

“Mind your own business, I can take care of myself,” You quickly answered.

He opened his eyes again and looked at you. “I’m sorry I didn’t call you, but I had a tough time too. You know that all those people were out to k-ll me.” He said, referring to all the victims of his scam.

“You completely ignored me for six months. I thought you were dead.”

“Alright, I’m sorry. Now, let’s team up.” He repeated desperately.
