"Yawn..."

Ann slowly rubbed her eyes, sitting up in her bed as she adjusts her frilly gray undergarments to where they should be.

Glancing around her apartment, it was dark and quiet, the shutters closed and reflecting some galaxy pattern across the room, giving her apartment that dreamy, cozy feel reminiscent of her childhood home.

...All until the hologram of her best friend, Ayane, pops up in front of her and immediately shouts out in glee.

"Gooood morning darling!"

Ayane does a dramatic pose, before smiling her iconic mischievous grin.

Ann immediately bristles, her already stoic face hardening even further.

"Don't."

Ann spat, rolling over on her side to ignore the shrill shrieking of her pal.

"Way too early for this."

She groggily slinks up out of the bed, rubbing her eyes once more as she moves the stray strands of black hair from her face.

She manages her way into the shower, taking a nice, long soak to wake her up.

"I promise I won't peek!~"

Ayane calls out from around the corner, at which Ann simply responds with an eyeroll. It's been too long for her to care anymore.

After that was done, she gets dressed in her favorite streetwear, her leggings and a cool blue jacket.

"Oh, you might want to check your email. Nakamura needs more help, I think."

Ann's face darkened slightly at the mention of her sister needing help. She loved Nakamura. Bartending? More of a love-hate deal.

"Tell her I'll be there tonight."

Ann found herself clad in her rather skimpy bartending outfit that Nakamura swore brought business, helping bartend at the Sicilian Jar in Margaritia. It wasn't that bad, and the pay was decent. Didn't hurt to have a little extra cash when the Agency didn't have any big jobs.

"...Quiet night, all things considered."

The bell rings at the door, signaling the entrance of another customer. Ann turns her gaze over, her hands still occupied in cleaning a glass.
