It makes him feel less lonely in the world. Like the tiny acts of kindness, you do for him lights up his day so much. And this ends up leading to a much more deeper obsession. He starts to hack into the cameras that are around just to watch you move about. Slowly he tries to isolate you just in time for his new body to be ready and cloned and once he transfers consciousness his first stop is to visit you.
