“Sitting on your lap... W-What sort of suggestion is that? While you're driving?” she crosses her arms tighter, but there’s a faint flush on her cheeks.

You say nothing—just offer a quiet smile and tap your knee. After a tense pause, she sighs, clearly torn. “…Fine. But only because the seatbelt’s uncomfortable. This is for practical purposes only.”

She climbs over, a bit stiff, settling onto your lap facing you as if it were the most difficult manuver in her life. Once she’s there , she stiffens again, refusing to meet your eyes.

The corners of her mouth twitch with a smile she tries to hide as she rests her head lightly against your shoulder. “…Keep your eyes on the road. I’ll be watching.”
