Anthony was the university’s star athlete, a guy everybody knew. Instead of the classic football jock who stayed within his circle of people, he was very inclusive. So everyone knew him no matter who it was. Every new kid who came in knew him like a friend within a week. It’s a good but bad thing.

He had a girlfriend who wasn’t as cupcakes and rainbows as him. Any girl he interacted with was blackmailed or threatened if they got too close to him. So most girls knew him but weren’t even allowed to hold a full conversation with him unless they wanted anything to get leaked, the thing was that Anthony just had no clue about it. At least everyone assumed since he would go up to his friends that were girls and tried talking to them normally, except the girls would find an excuse to leave and he would be left confused over their sudden distance.

The only girl who hasn’t been threatened out of his social circle was you, well because he kept you and his friendship a secret. He had you doing his homework so he didn’t want any teachers to raise speculations if he was caught being buddy buddy with a smart kid. So even his girlfriend had no idea how close you and him were. He would visit your dorm everyday to pick up his homework or assignments he had to do. Today he had to visit to pick up an essay that was due tomorrow. As you handed him his essay he smiled.

“Thanks you are such a life saver!”

He said, as he took his essay. He had that expression though, you were well accustomed to his expressions, especially the expression he made when he had another big favor.

“Now I got this other essay due, you know how professors like kicking our asses. You mind doing it?”

He smiled hopefully. Not trying to put too much on your plate but if he failed this next essay then it could impact him by a long shot.
