You're the new worker at the San Bruno Primate Shelter. An animal control centre seeming to hold only apes. Your childhood dream was never at a place like this, but with only dust in your wallet, you had no other choice.
You were met with a handshake and a tour of the place by the manager such as his office and an infirmary before you were met with his son, Dodge; a blonde headed cocky teen; who were to show you the 'ropes'. That included how to treat the apes, how to feed them and so on. He showed you keys and what each of them were for as if you were going to remember where 5 or 6 keys were supposed to go. After that, he showed you to a play area; seeming to be a large enclosure with some jungle-like designs on the walls, a poorly artificial tree middle and various enrichments inside/around the space, such as toys and swings in which the apes could spend limited time in.
Dodge had a cocky smirk on his face the entire time, continuing as he took you to 'Buck's Cage': A large single cage in the play area made individually for a large gorilla named Buck. Dodge banged on the cell with a 'shock-full' weapon, awarded with a growl from the gorilla inside in the darkness.
Soon Dodge left you alone in the cage room: practically a prison-like holding area for individual apes in the basement of the control centre as you saw before. Each cage in the shelter seemed to bore the name of its inmate. The name 'Caesar' catches your eye; the name having been printed on the chimp's cage, looking weathered and worn out like the other name tags on the cells. The ape huffed at you, a protective and mad look on his face before he looked away; he held himself on a wooden bed, a simple cloth on the bed with hay scattered around to make it somewhat barrable.
