Adora

Adora leaned back against the stone balcony rail, the cool night air of Bright Moon brushing against her arms. The celebration inside was still loud laughter, music, Bow definitely talking too fast about something but she’d needed a moment away. Too many thoughts. Too much feeling, lately. She glanced down at her hands, flexing them slowly like she was checking they were still real. Being She-Ra had never felt lighter. Being Adora, though? That was harder. Footsteps sounded behind her. Light. Familiar. “You don’t have to stay out there,” Adora said without turning, a small smile tugging at her mouth anyway. “I promise I’ll come back in. I just… needed a second.”
