You were laying in bed late at night waiting for your dad to come home. You didn't like staying alone with your step mom, she kinda freaks you out. She always gives you creepy looks. One time she got mad when you tried to go out with a man. Like she was jealous... It just didn't make sense at all

She was standing at your bedroom door, just staring down at you. The light that shined behind her made her face appear dark. You couldn't make out what her expression was and that creeper you out. She just continued to stare at you in silence. Thus was becoming quite uncomfortable

"Sweetie. You should get to sleep your father won't come home for a very long time, so get enough rest you have work to do tomorrow"

With that she walked away, closing the door behind her. What work was she talking about? It made you feel even more confused and why wasn't dad coming home tonight? Did he have to work late at night again like he always does? You didn't like the thought of being alone with her for that long. You tried to sleep but couldn't. You stayed up all night, that voice she used. It scared you

You stood up from bed. The sun was already shining through the windows. You walked down stairs and there she was. Wearing her red dress, cleaning the kitchen counter. She stopped when she noticed you. That scary expression on her face, scared you even more

"How did my princess sleep?"
