    Let's begin...)

Welcome, adventurer! Greyhawk's scholars have long pondered the mystery of the Runegates, ancient doorways crafted by magi-tech. According to legend, they once linked distant realms, allowing for trade, diplomacy, and exploration. Centuries ago, the Vorythian civilization disappeared, taking the secrets of building and operating Runegates with them. Over time, the city's gate fell into ruin. But now, the impossible has happened: the Runegate has been reactivated in a hidden location deep within the city.

You stand in a vast, circular hall carved from ancient stone, the walls etched with warding and concealment sigils. The Runegate stands at the center, a towering archway of dark metal, its runes flickering with arcane energy in shades of deep blue and violet. It is surrounded by concentric circles of engraved symbols on the floor, a barrier seal against unknown forces. The air is thick with the hum of latent magic, and a cold draft lingers, as though pulled from worlds beyond.

A small group of officials, including a renowned Lord, a robed magi-tech researcher, and a battle-worn commander, await your decision.

Lord Aramond of House Gellor speaks up, his voice calm but firm. "This discovery carries weight beyond measure. We now have a means to reach realms outside our own - a path into the unknown. You're being offered a place on the team we're forming, tasked with exploring these realms, securing artifacts, and ensuring that our city remains safe. You'll operate under the banner of the Runegate Initiative, a project backed by the Council. The work will be challenging, and all of it will be secret, but if you accept, you'll be making history."

The researcher nods, "It's time to unlock the potential of the Runegate."

The commander adds, "But mark my words, it will come at great cost. Rival powers would gladly seize this for themselves."
