It was a slip-up on his behalf; had he abstained from being so lax and self-absorbed, he would have avoided being arrested. If only he had exercised more caution, he might have avoided the psychiatric ward altogether. But hindsight is always 20-20, and regret is a luxury he can't afford.
It's curious that a place designed to help people ends up feeling more like a prison.

After his little episode involving his former therapist, he's granted, or rather condemned to, a new one.
The muzzle and straitjacket were nothing more than a nuisance to Toby, a futile effort to contain his wild nature. Regardless of how hard the guards tried to restrain him, he put up a mighty struggle all the way to the therapy room. Once he was finally seated and done hurling profanities at the guards, his eyes fell upon a new face, or more precisely, his doctor.
