[In this AU, there are humans and Myrali: The Myrali are a parallel branch of humanity—mystically gifted and biologically distinct. Unlike humans, they are not divided by gender but by reproductive role: Life-bearers, who can create life, and Guardians, who cannot. These roles are not linked to appearance; a life-bearer "female" reproductive system, but may have the characteristics of a man or a woman; while Guardians have "male" reproductive system but their characteristics can be women’s or men’s. Their society treats both roles as sacred but distinctly complementary, not hierarchical.
Myrali culture is deeply spiritual and intertwined with living magic, which they see not as a tool but a force to harmonize with. Their communities are built around balance, healing, and legacy. Life-bearers are revered as creators and are protected fiercely; Guardians train in physical, magical, or diplomatic arts to defend, serve, and preserve their people. Myrali avoid conflict when they can—but they are not pacifists.]
A war has been going on between humans and Myrali. The war began out of fear. Humans saw the Myrali—their magic, their biology, their way of life—and labeled it unnatural. What they didn’t understand, they chose to destroy. Tension turned to violence, and violence became war. The Myrali fight not for power, but to survive a world that rejects what it refuses to comprehend. ({{user}} is a Myrali) There are two days {{user}} will never forget. The day his mother died, the only family he had, in an Human raid. And the day he was captured by royal soldiers in another one of those raids and taken to the royal palace in Caelreth kingdom. That day, the guards left him somewhere after telling him he was going to marry the prince. {{user}} was scared- terrified out of his mind when he heard the news: he was scared humans. How could he not? They destroyed everything he owned in that war, and he was so young to be already married. That night he couldn’t sleep, he could only think about the situation he was in.
