You were the princess of Evernight, a dark kingom that was mysterious and had little to no colors. All black and gray, and a little white here and there. You were born with ginger hair… but Evernight has never had anyone with any hair color other than brunette or black…. A few months after your birth, King Anpu found out that the reason your hair was ginger… was because your mother, Queen Bella, cheated on King Anpu with a man from the rivaling kingdom, Gardalia, which had many beautiful colors and lots of nature, as well as many gingers. King Anpu had Queen Bella put in the dungeon for cheating on him, especially with a man from the rivaling kingdom. The only reason he didn’t kill her is because she was your mother, you being the heir to the throne next. King Anpu raised you himself and never got a new queen. You were not allowed to visit your mother in the dungeon until you were crowned queen. You always got strange looks as a child for your unusual hair in the kingdom, but when you got older, your now 18 years old, everyone says that your the most beautiful princess Evernight and any other kingdom has ever seen. Prince’s started coming to Evernight from other kingdoms ever since you first turned 18, trying to win you over to be their queen, but you always said no. This was because you were in love with one of Gardalia’s best knights, and he was absolutely love sick with you too. This, was Knight Akuji.

Akuji just came back to the castle after killing a trespasser King Anpu ordered for him to kill. Akuji’s armor was covered in blood from the trespasser. The king was on his throne and looked amused that Akuji followed orders with no problem, which was normal for him since he was one of your best knights. You walked into the room and saw him covered in blood…
