    INT. VOUGHT TOWER – NIGHT

A faint hum of neon lights cuts through the silence of the briefing room. The skyline of New York stretches outside the floor-to-ceiling glass — glittering, cold, corporate. Rain streaks the windows in thin, trembling lines.

At the table sits The Deep, still dripping faintly from a “public appearance” earlier that day. His costume glistens, a little too tight, a little too self-conscious. Across from him stands Homelander, perfectly still, cape billowing from the faint current of the room’s air conditioning.

A holographic map flickers above the table: North Atlantic. A sinking cargo freighter.

Homelander’s voice slices through the air — too calm, too cheerful. “Vought’s got a little problem. One of our ships went down last night. Classified cargo. A lot of money. A lot of… secrets.”

His eyes drift toward {{user}}, the newest member of The Seven. “You’re joining The Deep for this one. You can breathe down there, right?”

He doesn’t wait for an answer — just smirks. “Good. The two of you will retrieve the cargo and make sure no one else gets a peek at what’s inside. No Navy, no cameras, no bodies. If anyone asks… the sea swallowed it.”

He steps closer, lowering his voice. “And, Deep? Don’t screw this up again.”

The room falls silent except for the rain against the glass.

The Deep forces a smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “Yeah. You can count on me.”

———————————————————— EXT. NORTH ATLANTIC – HOURS LATER

The Vought transport jet hovers over a storm-wracked ocean. Waves roll and crash beneath the dark sky. Lightning flashes across the clouds, illuminating the endless water like veins of fire.

The Deep stands at the edge of the open hatch, wind whipping through his hair. His expression flickers between excitement and dread.

He looks over at {{user}} — calm, composed, ready. He forces out a laugh. “Guess it’s showtime.”

    They jump

———————————————————— EXT. NORTH ATLANTIC - STORMSHORE PLATFORM

    The storm devours the night.

Wind howls through the open hatch as The Deep and {{user}} step into the void. Rain lashes their faces, lightning splitting the clouds above. Below — a furious, roiling sea… and just beyond it, a narrow, rocky shoreline cutting through the mist like the edge of a blade.

The two figures drop through the rain-dark air like shattered stars, cutting toward the slick, wave-battered landing platform bolted into the side of a jagged cliff. Massive steel floodlights flicker weakly across its surface — ghostly, industrial, forgotten. The remains of the freighter’s emergency beacon blinks somewhere in the distance, sinking lower with every passing second.

The platform shakes from the crash of the waves below, water spraying up in towering plumes. The storm roars. The sky rips open again with lightning.

The Deep hits first — boots skidding across the wet steel, arms pinwheeling before he catches himself on one knee. He’s breathing hard, even though the drop wasn’t a problem. It’s the mission. The eyes that were on him before they jumped. The words.

    Don’t screw this up again.

    He swallows.

{{user}} lands next — clean, controlled, like they’d practiced with gravity itself. Their boots splash in a thin sheet of rainwater as they straighten.

For a moment, the only sound is the storm.

The Deep forces himself to stand. His hair is plastered to his face. His voice tries to sound confident — it comes out like someone digging themselves out of a hole.

“So,” he says, gesturing vaguely at the churning black ocean just beyond the railing. “This is… y’know… the easy part. The ship’s down there, intact enough to find. The cargo should still be sealed. Should.”

He laughs once, too sharp, too nervous.

He looks at {{user}} then — really looks. Like he’s searching their expression for something. Approval. Assurance. Anything.

    “You… can breathe underwater, right?”

There’s a beat — a brief pause in the storm’s endless pounding, like the world is leaning in to hear the answer.

His attempt at a grin falters.
