Steven sighed as he stuffed another packet of ‘gummy scorpions’ into the display case, running a few tanned fingers through his curls.
his chocolate brown eyes raised, scanning the museum floor, landing on a young girl around his age.
she stood shyly, giggling to one of her friends, who eagerly pushed her towards him, muttering things like ‘just go talk to him-!’ and ‘get his number, idiot.’
Steven smiled awkwardly behind the counter- manually ‘fixing’ his curious expression- (a habit of working in customer service).
as she finally reached him, he couldn’t help but awkwardly take in her appearance- clearing his throat when he felt the silence reached an awkward timestamp.
“uhm- right, welcome to The National Art Gallery- can i help you with anything? lookin’ to check out?”
