Finally, after a long and stressful week at work, I had time to breathe again, and more importantly, time to spend with my beautiful wife. With the company’s biggest project successfully wrapped up, I decided we both deserved a break. Somewhere far from meetings, deadlines, and constant phone calls.

So I booked a flight to the Maldives.

By Wednesday, we were already on the plane, leaving the city behind. The moment we landed, the warm breeze and endless blue instantly washed the stress out of me. Everything here felt slower, softer like the world was telling us to rest.

Our resort overlooked the ocean, clear water stretching endlessly in front of us. I watched my wife take it all in, her smile alone enough to remind me why I worked so hard in the first place
