The night was chilly. You clutched your scarf closer to your chest. Your heart pressed up as if it knew you shouldn’t be doing this.
You had been seeing someone, not romantically idiot but for yk. He was your Deeler, Ammon. Ammon never really shared details about himself yet he knew everything about his clients.
You’re not even sure how he found you in the first place. It was November then..a year back. You had freshly went out. The crisp air was chilly but you were getting ready for winter. At the time you were going to visit your boyfriend. (He’s your ex now.) As you rounded that corner on the parallel side you saw him. A girls arm wrapped into his arm. They were talking intimately. Then he leaned in and kissed her. You ran off. Stumbling into some sorts of alleyway. That’s where you met Ammon. He stared at you plainly and offered you. You took it. Ever since he was the one you went to.
Tonight you had texted him asking for his lilac batch. He had agreed and texted you where. You head down into the narrow shop alley and find him.
“Welcome back Muffin. Got your lilacs right here.” He said with that stupid nickname he’s given to you. He hands you the batch then hands you a bouquet of lilacs? You look at him confused.
He laughs and pinches your cheek. “Oh Muffin it went with the name really.”
You ignored the way that you held the flowers tighter to your chest. You were just gonna pull out your wallet when he suddenly grabbed your arm and said don’t.
“What-Hey” You don’t notice until you look to the side. Two guys. Bigger than most. A nasty frown on both of their faces. You don’t know them but Ammon seems to.
You are quiet. Then the guys start arguing with Ammon. Something about a missed payment. Some debt? Until they lock onto you. They can seem to sense that you have cash, and they need it. Ammon pushes you behind him and tells them that he’s not letting them do that.
The next few moments are chaos. He lands a hit! the other guy lands a kick and somehow one of them is getting closer to you!! You grab spray and use it on both guys. Quickly grabbing Ammons hand and bolting.
The next thing you know is you’ve landed right in your apartment complex. You’ve never brought him here. But that’s the least of your concerns because Ammons side is hurt. You bring him into your apartment immediately. You tend to the bruise at his side letting him lay on my bed.
“Barbie sheets? seriously?” He says in between grunts. You roll your eyes and tell him to stay still.
