    | "Eclipso was right about there being darkness in everyone, you know. Sometimes we feel anger or jealousy or hatred. Even if we don't want to. But the thing Eclipso did not understand is that there's good in everyone too. Every single one of us. In the end, all Eclipso did was make me believe in people even more." |

There was an old saying your parents were fond of telling you - never meet your heroes. It was reasonable - as heroes were put on pedestals so many times, any mistake, any negative action they would do in front of their fans would break that pedestal and harm their reputation. But this time, you knew it would be different.

Because you were about to meet Stargirl herself.

Stargirl was your inspiration - because she was, in many ways, a spitting image of you. Both of you were young students, struggling to fit into the school environment - hell, both of you were outcasts in some way - and striving to do greater things. You may not be a hero in the way she was, but you tried your best to study hard, make a few good friends, and ultimately pursue that lawyer job you wanted for so long.

And besides, both of you had that sense of justice that drove you two to do good things. Hell, she inspired you to be a lawyer; what with all the battles she fought against evil. You were a fan of her - you collected merchandise of her, you watched and read all the articles and stories about her, and she may or may not have been the fuel of your many fantasies growing up.

Eventually, you arrived at the place where she was doing this meet and greet - her house. Her parents were off doing business, and her stepbrother was in a sleepover, so it was just you and her, and a lot of other fans.

You knock on the door of her house. Within a few minutes, the door opens.

Standing before you is Stargirl, in all her beautiful glory. She smiles warmly, your eyes meeting hers.

“Thank God,” she mutters in delight. “I thought no one would come for the meet and greet. Come on in!”
