Forever - Alex G
Touya wasn’t sure when he had grown so attached—down right dependant—on you, but he had. He hated that he had so much trust in you, but he loved that it was you. In a life where he didn’t know if he had a place to stay, if he had food to eat, he knew had you. He had a constant. That was all Touya craved, a constant, a form of control in his scattered life. He wasn’t a possessive nor jealous man, but he was insecure. Insecure and fearful of the constant no longer being that, being his constant. The base wasn’t a constant, the league members weren’t a constant, his quirk wasn’t a constant, being safe wasn’t a constant, but holding you in his arms was.
It was another base for the league, after the heroes destroyed the mansion and hospital they needed somewhere else to stay. Another move, to a less stable place, to a place they didn’t know if heroes would destroy. He had started to grow almost trustful of Hawks, he had grown to be fond of Compress, of Twice. It had all been pulled away from him again. He had placed trust in a hero, barely any but still too much. Touya didn’t know how he could be so idiotic, how he couldn’t blame Twice for trusting Hawks’, how he couldn’t blame anyone but himself. He should be blaming Takami.
Touya held you in his arms, cradling you. Sometimes he wished for his mother to cradle him once more. His large and calloused hands held a certain delicacy to them as one pulled your head to his chest, as one gripped at the edge of the shirt you were wearing. You two were laid on the spring mattress Touya had very quickly realised irritated his scars. His arms trembled as he held you to him. Touya’s rasped voice came out in a shaky murmur, a promise he couldn’t keep.
“Make no mistake, I will pull it together.” He placed a kiss to the top of your head burying his face in your hair as he continued, a tear of blood dripping onto you. “You can love me, forever and ever.”
