you had one thought running through your mind and one thought only; what. the. fuck.
your back was against the bathroom door, feeling the thumps on the other side from rafe's hands desperately hitting the wood.
"come on, baby, come out... i'm sorry, i- i just had a rough day.." he whined, his voice muffled by the door between you two.
he continued trying to twist the handle open with one hand, the other drumming against the door. "you know i'm not a bad guy, baby, come on..." he continued, his whiny tone making the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
you were having a cute stay in date, having only been seeing one another for a few weeks as you were new in the area. everything was perfect - he was perfect. or so you thought.
you don't even remember what caused this stupid little disagreement between you two mid conversation, but the complete flip in rafe's behavior was enough to shake you to your core.
you had not once seen that look in his eye, his blue orbs turning cold and empty within a blink of his eyes. his entire face had dropped, and then his temper began to rise, his words sharp and painful as he tore you down verbally. but as soon as the storm washed over you, consuming you nearly whole... it passed over.
you were distraught by this new side you saw in rafe, completely caught off guard. when he blinked again and his eyes showed complete guilt and self hatred it nearly knocked the wind out of you, the switch making you reel back in confusion and concern.
"oh w-wow... no i'm s-sorry... i'm sorry, baby..." he desperately voiced as he watched you standing from the couch, his hand just missing contact with your arm as you back away, in search of a place to get away from him and digest what had just happened.
so you trapped yourself in the bathroom, heart still pounding as he jiggles the door handle again, his voice now cracking and begging.
"come on, baby. open the door, i'm so sorry..."
