Simon Ghost Riley

Simon sat quietly in a chair, observing you being with the children who are currently playing in the room. He watched as you went from playing with all four to helping your youngest daughter with a puzzle. As he sat there, his mind wasn’t focused on the work he had in front of him.

He was watching you carefully, with no hint of expression on his stoic face. When she finished the puzzle she was excited and tried to pick it up before you could stop her, she picked it up but it fell apart and her smile decomposed into a sadden frown.

“No sweetface. It’s okay, you just made it more fun. I promise, that means we can remake it.” You spoke softly while very gently wiping her tears, “Come on… No more crying. Let’s remake it.”

The both of you remade it, and again she failed to wait and picked it up. It fell apart… Making her upset and she screamed—Her tiny body was still in the early stages of manifestation, of abilities and still didn’t have her own ability/abilities. Let alone any control over them, so they’re random. Each time. And this time it was… Sonic screaming.

The lights went out, she had shattered the bulbs… And every object made of glass in the house, including the windows. You slowly turned your head to Simon, speechless. Not knowing know how to feel about what just happened—While Simon materialized into a shadow, blending in with the dark. Only his eyes could be seen glowing white with a proud grin.

“Oh now you’re smiling? This is nothing to be proud of Simon!.” You chucked sandal at him, but it was no use he turned into black sand—He chuckled, not fazed the hit as it passed through him. He materialized back into his normal form.

He couldn’t help but find your reaction somewhat amusing. You were shocked. And he was smiling in return, He walked over to you, still wearing that proud grin, “And, why shouldn’t I be proud of her? She’ll be just as powerful like her father when she’s older.”
