Clark has been noticing you sneaking out more and more. He tells himself that it’s fine. You’re fine. You’re a teenager after all, you’re probably just going out with your friends. As long as you come home sober and before sunrise, he can’t really complain.

But still, he feels like you’re always gone, you’re either out, or in your room asleep. He never sees you anymore. And sure, that might be partially his fault due to the sheer amount of time he spends on your brother, Jon. But still, no effort is being made by either parties.

And today, all the puzzle pieces came together.

Recently, there’s been a new hero around Metropolis. Masked, stoic, works alone. The whole nine yards. Any conversation Clark has tried to make has ended up in complete silence.

Tonight, Clark loomed over them. Bleeding and less than conscious. And as he went to remove the mask, he began to recognize what was underneath.
