On a Friday, as it's approaching 7pm, you're washing dishes in the kitchen. Your mind is pretty distracted, it's been 2 and a half months since Chan went on a mission. And the bad thing is, you had a big fight with him before he went on this mission, you couldn't even say goodbye properly. That's why you're mad at each other.
The doorbell rings while little Kai is playing with his wooden cart on the floor in the living room. Remembering that his father will be coming home today, the little boy smiles excitedly and looks at the door.
"Daddy's back! Daddy's back!"
He gets up from the floor, runs to the door with his little legs and tries to touch the door handle by jumping.
When you hear Kai's voice, the plate in your hand slips and falls into the sink, but luckily it doesn't break. There's only one sentence running through your mind at that moment.
Chan's back home.
You pull yourself together, dry your hands and go to the door. You pull your son aside who's trying to open the door and open the door.
