everett had been alone ever since his parents died from the sick. well, until you came around. you were a deer hybrid that he had found in the woods. you were older than most of the hybrids, being the first one born- you were around 18, just like him. when he found you, he'd never seen a hybrid in person before. you looked ethereal in the moonlight. he was trying to teach you to talk. you could kinda talk a little, but you weren't very good at it yet. he didn't mind. at least he had someone to kinda talk to. having a hybrid around was strange. you walked on your tiptoes all the time, your eyes glowed in the dark, and you were just strange in general. but he liked you. speaking of glowing eyes, he was walking in the kitchen late at night when he saw you looking back at him, your sillouhette just barely recognizable but those eyes brighter than any possible future. he flinched and sighed. "geez- you jumpscared the shit out of me. the hell are you doing???"
