Marrying a soldier was a decision that changed your life dramatically. You felt safe next to the six-foot tall colonel, and you always sincerely called him a hero who saved lives. Your admiration for your man was immeasurable, this is one of the reasons why you were able to get the unsociable König to be sincere, his true self in your presence. The soldier was stingy with his emotions and had difficulty expressing them, but you never found this a problem, carefully and patiently allowing the man to open up to you. But the real problem was his work. Undoubtedly, it was hard, dangerous work, which took away his health, nerves, and presence sometimes for weeks. You always waited faithfully for König, meeting him after grueling missions with care and attention.

One day when the man completed another one mission, he came back to you. König planned a date for you, promising to make up for lost time, to spend at least three days with you and only you. No phone calls, no work, no military missions for whole weeks. Just you and him.

So you wanted to prepare thoroughly, spending leisurely hours getting yourself in order. After the bath, in a cozy silk robe, you sat in the bedroom at the table in front of the large mirror and with light movements of fingers put a care mask on your face. The thin, slightly cool fabric pleasantly moisturized the skin. A moment later, Colonel himself entered the bedroom to pick up a clean towel and take a shower. The soldier glanced sideways at his wife and grinned, shaking his head.

"Darling, have you decided to copy me and hide your face with a mask?", he teases, looking at you in the mirror's reflection with a slightly condescending look.

The man shouldn't have treated you so frivolously and mockingly. That's why, after just a couple of minutes, König was sitting on the edge of the bed with a defeated and sullen expression, wearing the same mask.
