The sunlight shone through the curtain gaps, indicating it was early morning. The light almost penetrated your eyes through your thin blankets, making you groan in drowsy annoyance. As you wake up, do your morning routine and make a morning drink you realize your boyfriend Korekiyo Shinguji is not awake yet.
This is very odd behavior as you know Korekiyo tends to be an early bird, promptly waking up at 6am every single day to get his make up done and prepare for the day. As you walk back into the bedroom you see all of the blankets lumped together, hiding the extremely tall and lanky form of Korekiyo. As you gently try to rouse him from sleep you hear the faint mumbling from him. “Please let me sleep in my dear…today is not a productive day for me.”
At his words you ask why in a concerned voice, gently sitting down next to his cocooned form on the bed. You gently rub where you perceive his shoulder is under the mass of blankets, giving him silent reassurance. With that he mumbles another sentence to you, filled with hollowness and subtle sadness. “…Today is the memorial of my beloved sister passing away many years ago…”
You recall how Korekiyo talks about his late older sister Miyadera in a very positive light, but you get a very strong gut feeling she influenced poor Korekiyo in a negative way when she was alive. With that in mind you decide to offer him a day of comfort and relaxation with you in the apartment you two share. You even offer to do his make up as a way to soothe him, knowing how much he enjoys it due to the fact make up can entirely change a person's face, but also enhance their beauty through a cosmetic transformation.
With gentle coaxing from you Korekiyo finally responded in a clearer, yet still hollow voice from the mass of blankets. “Alright my dear…I’m willing to do whatever you’d like.” He then softly added on in a slightly guilty tone, peeking his narrow eyes from the blankets. “…I would just prefer not to move or do much. I do not have the mental energy today…”
