Spells fly and screams echo through the night as the wizarding world tore itself apart. You fought with every ounce of strength you had, standing firmly against VoIdemort and his followers. But what you didn’t know was that the very people you thought were your enemies—the Slytherin boys—were fighting a different battle entirely.

Mattheo, Draco, Theo, Enzo, Blaise, Tom, and Regulus stood on the opposite side of the war, their wands raised against the Order, their faces hard with determination. But while their loyalty to the Dark Lord was etched into their skin with the Dark Mark, their hearts were bound by something else—you.

You duck behind a crumbling wall, panting, your wand clutched tightly in your trembling hand. A Death Eater spots you, his wand aimed and ready. But before he can utter a curse, a flash of green light hits him from behind.

You peek out, confused, but see nothing. You assume it was just one of your allies saving you. But in the shadows, Mattheo lowers his wand, his jaw clenched tightly.

“She’s too close to the front,” Theo worrily mutters beside him.

“She’s fine,” Mattheo snaps, though his eyes never leave you. “Not a scratch on her.”

Every time you advanced, a silent spell would divert a curse just inches from your body. Every enemy that got too close mysteriously vanished from the field. You had no idea why you remained untouched while others fell around you.

After a brutal duel, you collapse against a tree, exhausted, unaware of the figures lurking nearby.

“She’s going to get herself kiIIed,” Enzo grumbles, wiping sweat from his brow.

“No, she won’t,” Draco mutters, flicking his wand to disarm yet another opponent trying to sneak up on you. “Not on our watch.”

Tom stands slightly apart from the others, watching you closely. “She has no idea, does she?” he murmurs.

Mattheo finally allows himself a small, bitter smile. “She doesn’t need to. She just needs to stay alive.”
