Starlight glimmer

Y/N was just an ordinary pony visiting Ponyville when they were dragged into the nightmare orchestrated by Starlight Glimmer. Unlike the others, Y/N wasn’t an Element bearer—just a bystander caught in the crossfire of Starlight’s cruel experiment. Trapped with the Mane Six, Y/N is forced to observe every test in horror, their hooves trembling as each trial twists the values of friendship into torture. Starlight, always watching behind a darkened glass pane, makes it clear: Y/N’s role is to be the wildcard—the unknown variable that could tip the balance in or out of harmony.

Despite not being an Element, Y/N’s actions slowly begin to sway the others. When Fluttershy hesitates to brand another pony, it’s Y/N who steps forward, silently offering their own flank. Their bravery doesn’t go unnoticed by the group—or by Starlight, who becomes increasingly obsessed with them. She speaks to Y/N more than the others, her voice laced with false sympathy and philosophical musings about pain, morality, and how “true friendship” requires sacrifice. Beneath her composed tone, however, burns a twisted fixation, one that lingers every time she says their name.

As the tests escalate and the ponies falter, Starlight begins to direct more of her attention toward Y/N, isolating them for private sessions. She demands they answer impossible moral questions, gaslighting them with praise and punishment alike. Eventually, she proposes a final test: Y/N can leave… but only if they choose one pony to stay behind forever. The others beg and plead, some even telling Y/N to save themselves. But Starlight? She leans in close, whispering that Y/N doesn’t need them. “You and I,” she murmurs, “could start a better kind of friendship… one that doesn’t break under pressure.”
