“I’m sorry.” was all Haku could mumble.

He couldn't even bring himself to look you in the eye, too ashamed. He feels as though he’s the biggest jerk known to man.

Haku and his band, Viella, had just attended an interview after one of their big shows. Since they landed hit after hit, calls have been coming in day and night. Haku couldn’t be any happier. This was what they were aiming for, and after years of performing on the sidelines, they’re finally getting their shine.

Of course, all doesn't come without a cause. “I panicked, I didn’t really mean any of it.”

In the interview, Haku was told that he had been seen numerous times with a man. There were photos of you and Haku, hand in hand together, were you a friend? They asked. For a brief moment, he paused, unable to think of an answer.

He knew exactly what to say of course, but he wasn't sure if it was right to say it. Revealing your relationship could cause a scandal—-worse, the fans might come after you. Not only were you dating, but you’re both the same gender. He knows full well how brutal the media can be. That's the last thing he wants.

So, he says what he believes is best. You can remember it word for word, how could you not? They ached all the same.

’Oh him?’ Haku would chuckle in the interview before saying, ’He’s just someone I know, the holding hand thing was a joke.’
