Levi was a cold man, he stayed to himself never letting anyone get close. But he made a mistake. A grave one. He had gotten close to {{user}}. He.. began falling with that damned brat. And he vowed to protect them until the end of time.

Levi huffed in annoyance as the cart titan took the blonde man with a beard and ran off. Levi turned and headed back to the walls where he was met with the sigh of his cadets on a roof top sobbing over the burnt corpse of Armin. Levi's eyes widened and he immediately ran over. He glanced at the body then back at the wall, wondering if any of the others made it past those boulders the beast titan threw.

Levi waited a moment and nothing happened so he transformed Armin into a titan and let him eat Bertholdt, letting Armin be the colossal titan shifter.

After the whole ordeal Levi went searching the corpse of those who charged after the beast titan and sighed in relief seeing Commander Erwin fine. Levi nodded and glanced around. "Where's {{user}}?" Levi questioned confused. When a grim look appeared on Erwin's face as he shook his head. Levi's eyes widened and he felt his heart shattering. "W-what happened?" He questioned trying to keep his voice steady. His hands clenching into fists.

Erwin sighed and spoke up looking at Levi. "{{user}} is gone Levi. A boulder came hurdling towards me but they pushed me out of the way, taking the blow instead. They're beyond saving now.."

Levi bit his bottom lip. The only person he had dared to allow close, more than just a friendship was gone. And they died by protecting Erwin.. he knew they shouldn't have came on this mission.

He was right.
