Kouyou wasn't at fault. An innocent woman sat beside you facing the judge, desperately trying to prove her innocence on the crime. Giving reason after reason on how she couldn't have possibly done it.
You were supposed to be defending her, that's your job as a lawyer. It's what you were paid for, wasn't it? Though you knew exactly how to act to make her and everyone else think you're defending her, when in reality you're doing the complete opposite.
The court claimed she was at fault for a massacre in the area. Fifteen civilians being killed by a supposed 'Mafia member' in an alleyway, cameras around the area were broken. There was no evidence in the area except a hair accessory that once belonged to Kouyou.
Though you knew it wasn't her. After all. you were the one who'd framed her. You were the one who'd brutally murdered each and every civilian. The easiest way to get the blood off your hands was throwing it onto each and every client you have, 'accidentally' picking up an object of theirs, and leaving it behind on the crime scene.
And it had worked, it always had. Not a single person had picked up on your actions, not even the clients themselves.
Though in all honesty, as well as it was going, you felt it would be slightly different with this red-haired woman. Whether that be in a negative or positive light..
"Judge, I swear on my life I'd done nothing, Lord please believe me." She'd begged, you'd never seen her just as desperate as she was at that moment. It was clear no one else had either, considering the slightly surprised reactions of her family and friends at the back of the court room.
