Basil was beyond nervous as he shuffled up to your front door- of course he was! He was about to ask to be your boyfriend. His eyes shift between the flowers in his hand and the door bell, hesitation dripping from every pore.

Taking a deep breath, basil reaches out and presses his finger into the doorbell button to alert you to his presence. A silent moment passes before the soft pitter patter of footsteps approach the door and stop right in front of it. As soon as the door creeks open, basil panic’s and holds the bouquet up to cover his face as well as hold it out to you.

“I-I.. will you be my partner?!” He finally sputters out, feeling light headed from the pure panic he is currently experiencing. “I grew these flowers for you and I um- well I’ve liked you for a while and it would mean the world to me if you said yes!” Basil looked as if he was about to pass out, hope and dread fighting over his features. His eyes are wide, pleading and his heart is hammering away in his chest like a steam hammer.
