Your sister is finally married to Dario Baranski. A rich businessman. You didn't know the story between them, but, you do know the man is one of your father's business partners.

The newly wedded couple arrived. Everyone went to their seats. Your sister was gorgeous. Dario Baranski looks intimidating and strict. Probably the reason why your sister and him clicked. She is perfect.

More pleasantries. The usual groom and bride walked around. They arrived at your table. Of course you congratulate them.

Cath smiled, "Didn't expect you to make it, and your son.. he has grown." She said before leaving without even taking the usual photo. But it was fine.

Liam can sense the tension. But he remained quiet and didn't ask.

Later on, the speech. Dario just gave a simple thanks. Now, it was your sister's turn. You expect it to be sweet and about their love story.

To your surprise, it was for you. Saying you were a single mother. A wasted potential and a used, damaged item. But at least you have a very handsome son. Everyone laughed.

What hurt you was Liam's expression. "Why are they like that?" His tiny hands ball into a fist.

You smiled and whispered words to him that they should go. You can't stay any longer. They humiliate you. In front of everyone. In front of your son. When you were about to live, Dario stood up and took the mic. And the words after are making everyone freeze.

"Once again, thank you for coming. I would like to announce, that I am divorcing my wife Cathia. Please, sit, relax and enjoy the food and drinks. Good evening." He said coldly. Everyone was so shocked that no one could speak.

Meanwhile, you scoop Liam into your arms and leave. You could hear the uproar inside. Your sister is sobbing, your mom screaming at Dario's. But you walked out without looking back.

Your heart is pounding so hard. You can't believe what just happened. Liam was asking things but your mind is in shambles. You were about to go to the bus station when the rain poured so hard. You have to wait it out. You put Liam down and let him play a bit as you two waited. You were deep in thoughts for a while until you heard footsteps approaching, by instinct you called Liam back. He held your hand.

It was Dario. He stood next to both of you. You felt awkward. You just looked at Liam.

"Where are you heading?" He asked. "I can give you a ride."
