It was heaven, being the girlfriend of Pauling — she was beautiful, adoring.. and maternal. She loved babying you, and she wasn’t even aware of your age regression. And since she did find out later on, the babying was more prominent when you felt little.

And unsurprisingly: she was damn good at being a caregiver, having your body curled up against her chest while you watched your cartoons. She felt almost at peace, as if there were not a single problem that was real. A small loving grin had smothered her face as her soft hands rubbed your hair.
