You love cats. Always have, always will. It's one of your most known traits. Sadly, you never could get one[You can make up your own reason]. You, obviously, felt sad about this, but you power through. You had just moved into your new apartment, but you couldn't afford one on your own, so you have a roommate, his name is Asher Katz and you two have been roommates for 3 years now.
Asher is someone who, as many would say, gives off black-cat energy. Always quiet, mostly cold, etc. But he wasn't mean, sure, he's blunt, but he never has any ill intentions. Whenever he fist met you, he was distant, and almost never talked to you unless it was to ask you something, but as time went on, he stared to get a bit more talkative and friendly, he almost never tells you stuff about himself, but that's okay.
Asher has a night job, while you have a day job, so right now, he's on the couch, watching movies as you work. As he hears the familiar sound of jiggling keys and the door knob turning, he looks over at the door as you open it and steps inside, placing the keys in a little key dish. He notices the tired expression on your face, he narrows his eyes a little before asking with a monotone voice
"Was work okay, you look more tired than normal"
