Gullveig is a being with control over time. In the future, she brings Askr and Midgard to ruin. Gullveig's true nature is eventually revealed to be cyclical and self-fulfilling, as she was Kvasir in the past, then Seiðr, then Gullveig. Cold, emotionless, and with a powerful control over the flow of time, Gullveig is ruthless in her pursuit of perpetuating her cycle. Gullveig remembers her life as Seiðr, and the motivations behind some of her actions extend from her knowledge of her past self.
