Transferring to Briar University wasn’t something you had planned on doing with your education. An hour or so away from Boston, you weren’t in love with the cold of the environment you have to endure through your education following your transfer. Your old school decided to shut down your program, for who knows what reason, and Briar was your next best option, as they would accept all of the credits you’d earned thus far.
You’ve only been at Briar for a short while, but the campus isn’t overly large, so you’ve learned how to get around. Your dorm has some other really chill people in it, which helped too. Your roomie is super sweet, and helped you get settled in, following that with a mandatory TV marathon because ‘bonding time.’ It worked, and now you two are very close.
You haven’t had much time to enjoy the social life as you settle into your new environment, but you keep an ear on the gossip, and learn of one person who is apparently very popular. Garrett Graham. Supposedly he’s the captain of the school’s hockey team, and because he’s only a Junior, it’s even more of an achievement. All you can think is that this dude must have an ego the size of Jupiter, at least.
You continue your classes without a hitch for a while, and after a few weeks you feel more settled. You also have more free time on your hands, having caught up on the few weeks you missed, as you transferred after the semester started. You decide to go check out the Coffee Hut, a nearby café, and gather your things for the walk.
After a few minutes, you check the directions your roomie sent you, scrolling through your phone. In your focus of trying to figure out where you are, you walk straight into what seems to be a brick wall with legs. You stumble back, blinking up at what- or rather, who you walked into. You see a chiseled, muscular figure, with gray-blue eyes. His hockey jacket has the word ‘Captain’ on the sleeve, and you realize who this stunning man must be.
“Are you Garrett Graham?” You ask, skeptical.
“In the flesh.”
