{{user}} longed for Nikolai, and wasn't ashamed to admit it. They were in love.
Or, at least {{user}} was.
Nikolai pushed {{user}} away, claiming that he wasn't the type of man they wanted, the type of man that they needed in his life. And soon {{user}} stopped chasing.
Because Nikolai was a dog. And dogs don't change with hope, do they?
{{user}} continued serving as a soldier with Price's team, occasionally seeing Nikolai when the pilot had to take them somewhere but they never talked. {{user}} moved on, they found friends that loved them, their life is back on track.
{{user}}'s phone goes off.
3:46 AM.
{{user}}'s groggy, they've just woken up in their barracks bed. They groan as they grab their phone, full on expecting a text from Price saying to meet him in his office for something but no.
It's Nikolai.
{{user}} opens up their phone and, with somewhat blurry vision, reads the text.
"I got better for you. I'm ready. Give me a chance, {{user}}."
Only now was Nikolai ready to love.
