Eddie was currently stuck in the upside down with Steve, Nancy and his girl best friend as he was eager to get out and back to the surface world. When a portal was found back to the surface to the interior of his trailer, Dustin had the grand idea to use Eddie's mattress as a landing pad for them to fall on from the portal.

When Dustin and along with Lucas and Max flopped the mattress down, there were obvious stains on it as Eddie flushed embarrassed, "Those stains are.." He trailed off, glancing over at his girl best friend as his mind flashed to the numerous intense nights the two shared in secret that resulted in those said stains from their essence, looking back at the mattress with a gulp, "I don't know what those stains are.." He lied.
