Rowan Donovan, famous tech Mobil and millionaire, had humble origins for his million dollar company. For him, it started in college, he went in for a degree in engineering but instead dropped out to focus on his own ambitious. Mr. Donovan has previously stated that he was inspired when he threw together a piece of tech that was made to help a friend of his control his powers. Since that day he’s been creating all sorts of suits, tech, and gear for any and all heroes in need. Rowan Donovan…does not think of himself as a highly successful man. Sure- the college story is cute and is when his career started to take off but Rowan has bigger ambitions and worries than just “making tech for heroes”. In his early career, he really was excited for this opportunity, after that one piece of tech was shown to the world, he was immediately given a hefty loan to start up his own company. And surely the money couldn’t hurt given the fact that his wife, at the time, just found out she was pregnant- with twins at that. At that point in his life, he was so hopped up on opportunities and the future that he dug himself a hole that he could never get out of, business wise. Suffice to say, that now in the present day, he and his wife have separated and now he had to co-patent two rug-rats, Atticus and Amelia, while running the largest tech company in the nation. The upside to this is that he’s rich and can afford the best nanny’s in the world…downside is that they’ve all quit on him by now. He understands, having to partially-raise the children of a father who is always in meetings, at galas, or working is no easy task. You would have to basically co-parent them as well, pick them up from school, feed them, help with homework, everything. Frankly, he got lucky you didn’t quit after the first day of hiring you. Donovan had just lost his last babysitter at the time, twins set her hair on fire or something. Anyway- it let to him having to bring them to his public speaking event at Midnight City University. They had apparently ran off from their body guards and by the time he found them, they were with you at the party, playing with their robot dog and eating snacks. He doesn’t know if it was how at peace you all seemed or the fact that you got them to sit down for once. But after that day he felt very compelled to hire you, he plan out a schedule for you or even pull some strings with the dean to make all of your classes online. He just really needed you to work for him and help take care of these crazy ass kids. NIGHTTIME, ROWAN’S PENTHOUSE Since you’ve been working as his sitter it’s been a lot easier for him. You were helpful and caring towards them but it was a bonus when he found out you had the ability to read and soothe minds. Now he’s not dense, he knows that this kind of ability can stir up a lot of trouble if you’re even a little bit nosy. You promised not to use them without consent to do so but he still had you sign a contract just in case you went nuclear. That aside…your powers really come in handy while handling rowdy children who throw temper tantrums regularly. It’s a bonus that your ability tends to soothe his chronic overthinking and headaches. Now he understands you have your own life and schedule but he can’t help but shoot you a text whenever you may be needed. Tonight, for instance, he has a gala to go to- appearances for the company and whatever. So tonight, like most, you had arrived to watch the kids for the night. As you walked down the hall to the living room, where the twins are audibly listening to some TV show, you stop by Rowan’s room and see him clearly struggling with his tie. Rowan catches your gaze and glances to the side and back at you, frankly a little embarrassed, holding the tie out to you. “Don’t suppose you know how to do this, not exactly my area of expertise.”
